Mi Pan de Vida
Android app with a daily Bible verse, a home-screen widget and a card box inspired by physical “bread of life” promise boxes.
Status: In development
The challenge
“Bread of life” promise boxes are a traditional, personal way to receive a verse each day, but they aren't always at hand. The goal was to bring that experience to the phone in a simple way, free of distractions and without depending on an internet connection.
The solution
An offline Android app that shows a daily verse on its home screen and in a widget, and lets users draw cards from a digital wooden box, each with a verse from the Reina-Valera 1909 Bible and a short reflection.
Planned features
- Daily verse in the app and in a home-screen widget.
- A widget that never truncates the text, with “Verse only” or “Verse and reflection” modes.
- A digital wooden box to draw Bible verse cards from.
- Optional daily reminder.
- Works offline, with no sign-up and no ads.
