Privacy policy for “Mi Pan de Vida”

In short

“Mi Pan de Vida” works only on your phone. You do not need to create an account, it does not ask for an internet connection, and it does not collect, send or share any of your data with ARDES or third parties.

What the app stores on your phone

To work, the app stores in your device’s internal storage: the verses you mark as favorites; your settings (whether you turned on the reminder and at what time, text size, what the widget shows and whether you see background photos); and which cards you have already drawn from the box, so they are not repeated until you have gone through them all.

This information never leaves your device. The app turns off cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so it is not backed up to Google or any other service. It is removed completely when you uninstall the app.

What the app does not do

It does not ask for an account, email, name, phone number or any personal data. It does not use your location, contacts, messages, camera, microphone, photos or files. It has no internet access (it does not declare the network permission). It includes no advertising, usage analytics, trackers or third-party crash-reporting tools. It does not identify you or your device.

Permissions it uses

Notifications (Android 13 or later): only if you turn on the daily reminder. You can deny or withdraw it at any time from Android settings; the app keeps working without it.

Phone restart notice: only to reschedule your reminder when the phone restarts. It reads nothing else.

Sharing

When you tap “Share”, you choose whether to send the verse as text or as an image and to which app (for example WhatsApp). The app prepares the content and hands it to the app you choose; from that moment that app’s privacy policy applies. The image is created temporarily in the app’s internal storage and is deleted automatically after 24 hours.

Content

The Bible text is the Reina-Valera 1909 version (public domain). The reflections are ARDES’s own editorial content and are not part of the Bible text. Background photos are free images (CC0 / public domain).

Children

The app does not collect data from anyone, including minors.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes how it handles data, we will update this page, change the date above and announce it on the app’s store listing before the change reaches your phone.
